The quality engineer will perform documented inspections to verify the conformance of components to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and all statutory and regulatory requirements.
He/she will prepare relevant documentation and certification, create Quality Books, manage traceability and identification of parts, implement corrective actions for non-conformities, participate in and promote process improvements, and engage in training to acquire necessary skills.
Your Role :
* Document dimensional and visual inspections according to drawings or procedures.
* Manage non-conforming material documentation via NCR process, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
* Maintain relations with internal/external customers and third-party inspectors.
* Manage instrument calibrations.
* Review certifications, both internal and external.
* Handle traceability and parts identification (Make and Buy).
* Control in-process and incoming materials.
* Review and approve supplier manufacturing/testing documents and certifications, ensuring approval by relevant parties.
* Develop Quality Books for projects.
* Participate in Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP).
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Profile :
* 3-5 years of relevant experience in quality inspection within mechanical or industrial companies.
* High school technical education; a 3-year engineering degree is a plus.
* Proficient in interpreting assembly and machining drawings, with understanding of GD&T.
* Proper use of inspection equipment for machining controls and assembly.
* Strong knowledge and passion for mechanics, drawings, materials, metallurgy, and technologies.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Fluent in written and spoken English (at least B1 level).
* Fluent in written and spoken Italian.
* Willing to learn, accurate, analytical, with a positive attitude.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Passion for mechanics and materials.
* Preferred: Non-Destructive Testing Level 2 qualifications (PT, VT, DT).
* Knowledge of international codes (e.g., ASTM, ASME), welding, NDE, and quality systems is a plus.
* Knowledge of CMM measurement (e.g., Dea) is a plus.
* Experience in foundry and machining processes is a plus.
* Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
* Internal Auditor qualification is preferred.
