We are seeking a qualified Fortran Developer / Scientific Software Engineer to support the development, validation, and maintenance of engineering calculation tools.Key Responsibilities
Analyze, develop, and test Fortran-based calculation models in accordance with physical laws and engineering specificationsTranslate technical inputs from NPI and RQS design engineers into structured computational logicPerform validation and verification of calculation results to ensure accuracy and consistencyMaintain and optimize existing legacy codebases, improving performance and reliabilityCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development and technical improvementsDocument methodologies, assumptions, and results to ensure traceability and reproducibilitySupport integration and interoperability with tools developed in C++ and VBA
Required Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical disciplineProven experience in Fortran programmingGood knowledge of C++ and/or VBASolid understanding of:
Numerical methodsScientific computingPhysics-based modeling
Experience in code testing, validation, and debugging of engineering calculations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in industrial sectors such as:
AerospaceAutomotiveEnergyIndustrial engineering
Familiarity with simulation environments (e.G., FEM, CFD)Experience working with legacy systems and code refactoringKnowledge of software validation and verification processes
