Job Title: Train Operation Support Engineer We create smart innovations to meet the mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. We design and manufacture a complete range of transportation systems, from high-speed trains to electric buses and driverless trains, as well as infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility solutions. Purpose of the Job: Provide real-time technical support to train drivers and operations teams in case of faults during service Coordinate with Alstom control room to monitor train systems remotely and respond promptly to operational anomalies Coordinate with traffic control and fleet management to manage train availability and service recovery Provide clear and accurate instructions or guidance based on established protocols and procedures Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to railway equipment providing timely solutions and support to the off-site technical interventions Prepare detailed reports and documentation of off-site maintenance activities, including findings and recommendations Analyze incidents and support post-event investigations to determine technical causes Collaborate with maintenance teams and contractors to support repairs and maintenance work Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Conduct field inspections special checks and assessments of rolling stock Review fleet failures, downtime reports and equipment histories to uncover reoccurring operation problems. Responsibilities: Participates in critical task-force dedicated to troubleshooting when needed Defines standard rules to analyse train diagnostic data Defines standard sheet for troubleshooting during operational outage Design diagnostic algorithms in collaboration with engineering team Supports data analysts Organisational Reporting: Hierarchical Reporting: Fleet support center manager Network & Links: Fleet managers Depot managers Project engineering managers/Train system engineers Control room system engineers and data analyst Maintenance Team leaders Educational Requirements: Technical Diploma or Degree in Engineering (preferably, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering) or proven experience in railway maintenance and operation Technical Knowledge / Experience: Experience in Train Monitoring System development or validation or commissioning Experience at system level in Railway industries or big industrial plant (Power, naval) Good knowledge of business analytics tool such as Tableau, powerBI Behavioural Skills / Competencies: Strong analytical skills, with attention to detail Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure Experience in customer service or technical support, preferably in a transportation or railway environment.
