About the Role
The role centres on reviewing and optimising live BMS sites, requiring strong problem-solving skills, sound engineering judgement, and the ability to work confidently in operational environments.
Responsibilities
• HVAC fault finding and MSI integration at Supervisor and JACE level
• Review, development, and implementation of control strategies
• Remote support as the primary working mode, with site visits within Europe typically once per month
• Work with Niagara N4 to integrate equipment, manage histories, use programme services, and understand site level controller and JACE topology
• Development and modification of control logic within Niagara and at controller level, including platforms such as Distech and ISMA
• Review and correction of UI graphics
• Validation of equipment performance and data accuracy
• Analysis of system and unit performance to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and comfort improvements, implementing changes with appropriate client and operational consideration
• Site visits for surveys, non-intrusive issue resolution, logic deployment, and equipment testing and verification
• Production of clear, professional engineering reports following both site visits and remote reviews
Candidates may be based anywhere in Europe but must have the legal right to live and work in their country of residence.
Qualifications
• Minimum of two years’ experience in HVAC, building automation, or control systems
• Equivalent experience may be considered through a combination of technical roles and industry exposure
Required Skills
• Proven hands-on experience with Tridium Niagara
• Solid understanding of building control protocols
• Strong knowledge of BACnet, including router tables and IDF environments
• Professional-level English, with the ability to explain engineering topics clearly to clients
