Role Description
We are looking for a full-time Land Acquisition Manager (Engineering Background Required) to support the development of renewable energy projects in Sicily. The ideal candidate will combine technical understanding with strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities, playing a key role in the early-stage development of PV, BESS, and hydrogen projects, while also being responsible for identifying suitable land parcels, engaging with landowners and local stakeholders when needed, and supporting the permitting and overall development phases.
Responsibilities
* Identify and evaluate suitable land parcels for renewable energy project development.
* Assess land characteristics using engineering judgment (terrain, accessibility, grid proximity, environmental constraints, etc.).
* Collaborate with internal engineering teams to validate technical feasibility.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with landowners, local authorities, and community stakeholders.
* Negotiate land lease or purchase agreements aligned with company guidelines.
* Support permitting processes by providing technical inputs and coordinating with consultants.
* Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
* Prepare regular progress reports and contribute to risk and opportunity assessments.
Qualifications
* Residency in Sicily (mandatory).
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Electrical, Environmental, Energy, or related fields).
* Strong technical understanding of site assessment for PV/BESS/H₂ projects.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
* Knowledge of territorial regulations and administrative procedures is an advantage.
* Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Sicily.
* Italian language proficiency, English is a plus.
Compensation will be determined together with the candidate based on his/her experiences and qualifications.
