Job Description Junior Engineer Fugro Italy is seeking a Junior Engineer responsible for performing office and field survey assignments as instructed. The Junior Engineer will receive ongoing theoretical and practical training, both onshore and offshore, to expand experience and understanding of the technical scope of work. On projects, they will work under the guidance of the team leader or designated supervisor. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Party Chief / Team Leader in executing assigned work and tasks. Organize own work in specific situations. Complete mobilization and calibration activities as required during projects, following the FAL Staff Competency Matrix. Understand basic operations and theories behind Surface Positioning, Subsea Positioning, or Geophysical Survey (as applicable). Perform projects involving these survey types to the standards specified in the FAL Staff Competency Matrix. Carry out work according to specifications, procedures, and work practices during shifts (12 hours). Perform repairs, maintenance, and testing of equipment. Participate actively in quality control procedures in the field. Continue learning and observing more advanced operational tasks. Financial Responsibilities Manage own project and business-related expenses. Administration Maintain field survey administration and filing systems. Accurately record time spent on projects. Complete expense reports correctly. Submit work reports timely for payroll and attendance. QHSSE Participate in maintaining and improving the company's Quality and HSE management systems. Additional Duties Engage in ongoing training courses, both internal and external. Principal Working Relationships Collaborate with senior field staff to meet project specifications. Regularly meet with staff to monitor progress. Debrief with the Survey Manager and participate in staff development and performance reviews. Discuss further training needs with the Technical Trainer. Coordinate with QHSSE personnel for QA and safety discussions. Education and Experience Requirements B.Sc. or diploma in engineering or survey-related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 1 year relevant experience. Proficient in computer operation and basic software applications. Basic proficiency in English (written and verbal).
