PpFor Paul Wurth Italia spa, company of SMS Group we are looking for a Supplier Qualification and Quality Assurance Senior Inspector for our Center of Excellence "Supply Chain Management". /p h3About the Role /h3 pEnsure product and process quality compliance throughout the supply chain, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, and contractual standards. This role involves overseeing supplier qualification, quality control, and quality documentation management, collaborating with Purchasing, Project Management, Expediting, and Shipping to ensure the final product meets customer expectations and company objectives. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liAct as a quality reference point for the customer. /li liCoordinate a pool of inspectors for a dedicated project. /li liConduct direct supplier inspections to verify technical and contractual compliance on machines. /li liEvaluate technical documents and product specifications to ensure quality throughout all phases of manufacturing. /li liUse measuring and testing instruments to monitor products and processes. /li liCollaborate with planning and project management functions via ERP systems (SAP). /li liMonitor and improve supplier quality performance. /li liPrepare and update quality control documentation for ongoing projects. /li liPerform technical acceptance and final equipment inspection activities. /li liMaintain detailed records of inspections, noting deviations or defects found to ensure traceability and quality control. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liEducation: High school diploma or equivalent is typically required, with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., metallurgy, engineering) preferred. /li liExperience: Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier quality inspection for fabricated steelwork, mechanical equipment, and related industrial components. /li /ul h3Required Skills /h3 ul liProficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, technical documents, and specifications. /li liKnowledge of NDT methods (e.g., VT, PT, MT, UT). /li liGood knowledge of welding inspections in accordance with EN ISO 3834, EN 1090, ASME code. /li /ul h3Preferred Skills /h3 ul liPreferred certification (nice-to-have): IWE/IWT – International Welding Engineer / International Welding Technologist (EWF/IIW). /li liNDT Level II in one or more methods (VT, PT, MT, UT, RT) – Non-Destructive Testing Certification. /li liFOSIO or NACE Coating and Painting Inspector. /li /ul pAvailability for worldwide trips /p h3Equal Opportunity Statement /h3 pSMS group is committed to diversity and inclusivity. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
