Globally Closures runs 16 manufacturing sites in North America, Latin America, EMEA and China. /p pbThe Role: /b /p pAs part of the Global Industrial Technologies team, the Global Automation Engineering Manager – Global Closures will drive the implementation of global industrial strategy through development, implementation and promotion of Factory Automation roadmap across Closures’ sites. /p pAs a recognized Key Subject Matter, the Global Automation Engineering Manager will actively drive the global Factory automation strategy with the help of segment experts at site level and Operational Excellence global team, by identifying and analyzing sites needs and opportunities, define technical solutions to be integrated in production process, select a portfolio of best-in-class technologies and a shortlist of global suppliers, design a roadmap for full implementation of solutions in each site, based on a phased approach and financial sustainability. /p pThe Global Automation Engineering Manager will promote the implementation of Factory Automation strategy by actively supporting the local project teams during project execution, with special focus on coordination with the global strategy on technology and suppliers, and introduction in the plant with support of other functions (APU, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence) /p pThe role will support technological innovation, creating and animating a network among the local engineering experts and the related Technical Platform Communities, to keep landscaping the evolution of technology and best-in class automation solutions. /p pbMain responsibilities: /b /p ul liPromote and maintain a safety culture in Engineering and Industrialization activities, on top of legal requirements (with reference to all local/regional regulatory), with special focus on human-machine interaction). /li liDefine and implement appropriate Industrial Strategy in the field of Factory Automation, with strong integration with site organization, standardization guidelines and close cooperation with corporate functions. /li liDefine a blueprinted model of Industry 5.0 integrated factory specific for Closure sites purpose, leading a work team including Closure Operation experts, Closure Supply Chain experts and Operational Excellence contributors /li liDefine with the support of Aptar Closure Operations Experts and Operational Excellence a portfolio of standardized and scalable solutions of equipment for Factory Automation to be implemented in a phased approach, to reach the optimized level of automation on site /li liPromote technology innovation i.e. new technologies exploration, suppliers scouting, new technologies test, explore I4.0 and I5.0 application to Aptar Closure ecosystem. /li liSupport Capex optimization, providing best solutions in terms of technology and suppliers and promoting cost optimization, also through assets reutilization and synergies. /li liLead the Factory Automation technical community in Operations Closure by animating teamwork and networking: coach local talents, share the best practice for each of the technologies and support key projects definition and execution. /li /ul pbLocations: /b /p ul liPrimary location is in Italy. Partial remote office possible. Availability to travel regularly (25% on average) to support global projects on site and visit suppliers. /li /ul pbQualifications: /b /p ul liBachelor's or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field. /li liSeasoned experience in Automation of industrial processes in high productivity manufacturing Industry, including experience in workflow and layout definition, robotics, AMR/automatic transportation, Vision systems, Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0., Artificial intelligence applications /li liAbility to think strategically /li liInnovative thinking mindset /li liAbility to build strong relationships internally and externally (customers, suppliers, stakeholders, networking) /li liAbility to adapt to multi-cultural organizations and team /li liProject management experience with a track record of handling complex projects /li liResult orientated and structured way of working /li liProven management, communication, and technical capabilities /li liCapability to adapt and manage effectively in fast paced changing environment /li liGood interpersonal, problem-solving and continuous improvement skills /li liFluent in English.
