DescriptionResponsible for coordinating all technical activities on assigned projects. Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates engineering work for the assigned project; ensures compliance with current regulations, practices, and accepted engineering standards; ensures effective communication and coordination among all disciplines and other project participants.Carries out design activities, development of heat exchangers and/or accessories based on contract requirements and product specifications. Performs feasibility studies with technical proposals, analysis, design, prototyping. Contributes to the improvement of team and company processes.Main Activities
Planning and forecasting engineering project activitiesCoordination and verification of engineering deliverablesContinuous reporting on project status and order changesEvaluation of contract requirements (as relevant)Evaluation of product specificationsTransforming requirements into project outputs (calculations, dimensions, tolerances, material selection)Interpretation and commentary of construction drawingsSizing of plant components and the overall systemDrafting final and executive project documentationExecution of study drawings and construction detailsDrafting material purchase specifications, calculations, and IOM manualsManaging deadlines for project document submissionsApproval of RDATechnical meetings with clients and suppliers of critical materialsPreparation of documentation for ASME/PED
Required Skills
Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experienceAt least 5 years of experience in mechanical design of heat exchangersBasic knowledge of project management techniquesExperience with 2D and 3D CAD software (preferably Autocad, Inventor)Experience with finite element calculation modules (preferred)
