As a Tendering Engineer, you will be the primary technical interface with customers during the pre-ITO (pre-Inquiry-To-Order) phase (i.e., prior to a firm proposal). You will have the opportunity to define the best technical configuration, associated costing, and strategy for firm proposals. You will guarantee that the solution remains aligned with customer expectations. Job Description Responsibilities: Prepare service winning proposals (budgetary & firm) to achieve yearly budget. Meet customer priorities in terms of time schedule with technically compliant competitive bidding. Manage tendering workload including inquiries and deadlines through Speak update & follow-up. Roles and Responsibilities: Analyze customer needs/RFQ to define and offer products/solutions for GIS & AIS Substations, including preliminary design/drawing preparation. Ensure proposals comply with technical specifications and tender requirements. Identify and flag key risks, ensuring mitigation plans are in place. Manage & implement the Return of Experience (ROE). Align proposals with commercial and execution strategies to meet order targets. Obtain technical derogations and approvals as needed. Complete site assessments for Brownfield/Existing Substations. Maintain typical circuits/schemes/solutions in Tendering Tool for future use. Ensure timely technical and commercial bid submissions, maintaining quality. Respond to technical clarifications and present solutions to customers. Support order booking, ensuring margins and smooth operations. Assist sales in technical and commercial meetings/negotiations. Update offer management systems (SPEAK). Bidding Process Compliance: Ensure complete bid management with proper risk assessment from inquiry receipt to order. Conduct internal tender reviews with stakeholders. Transfer relevant documents to operations team. Costing and Pricing Analysis: Review and improve tender submission and win rates. Analyze costs, prepare quotes, and update sourcing in Tendering tool. Ensure accurate costing and explore cost optimization opportunities. Conduct win/loss analysis of bids. Performance Indicators: Timely delivery of offers. Autonomy in data collection, costing, and approval processes. Achievement of workload targets for bid submissions. Skills & Experience: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree with 5 years of experience. Experience with quotes, technical-commercial offers, and SAP is a plus. Strong technical adaptability and product knowledge. Knowledge of the business sector. Proficiency in computer skills. Fluency in Italian & English. Analytical, synthetic mindset, and high autonomy.
