About NETX HYPERGEAR:
NETX is a new-generation performance new brand based in Milan & Toronto, revolutionizing the world of sport and lifestyle through advanced design and 3D printing.
Our work blends sport, lifestyle and digital manufacturing to create functional, futuristic gear engineered for real performance.
About the Role:
We are looking for a talented and driven Product Designer to support the development of 3D printed products, including eyewear, footwear, grips, and other gear.
This role is ideal for a designer with a strong command of procedural modeling using Houdini and a passion for creating advanced structures and performance-driven geometries.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND APPLY ONLY IF YOU ARE SKILLED HOUDINI SFX PRODUCT USER
What you'll do
Design procedural lattices, TPMS, and cellular structures for performance gear
Build print-ready geometry optimized for SLA / DLS / SLS / elastomers and resins
Encode material behavior (Shore A/D) into geometry logic
Create HDAs (Houdini Digital Assets) to automate variants and product families
Use simulation-informed logic to reduce material usage, print failures, and iteration time
Produce high-quality renders and animations for Product launches, Marketing content, Exploded views, Cutaways, Performance storytelling (compression, deformation, response)
Your work will span engineering, design, and visualization.
What we're looking for (must-have)
Strong Houdini experience for geometry and systems, not only VFX
Solid understanding of Procedural modeling, VDB / volumetric workflows, Lattice or cellular structures, Attribute-driven design
Experience designing for 3D printing constraints
Ability to create clean watertight meshes, geometry optimized for flexible materials
Ability to produce product-focused renders and animations in Houdini
Big plus (nice to have)
Experience with:
footwear, sports equipment, industrial or medical products, Elastomers, flexible resins, multi-density systems
Simulation-informed workflows (stress, deformation, optimization)
Experience with Karma, Redshift, or Octane, Exploded views, X-ray visuals, deformation animations
Experience creating locked HDAs used by other designers
What this role is NOT
Not a pure VFX / FX / cinematic effects role
Not focused on fluids, smoke, fire, or destruction
Not classic CAD-only modeling
This role sits between product engineering and visual storytelling.
Why NETX HYPERGEAR
Design real, printed products, not just visuals
See your work go from Houdini → printer → marketing → athlete
Build long-term procedural systems, not one-off models
High impact:
your decisions save time, material, and cost
Strong focus on performance, sustainability, and automation
How to speed up the process.
