Buyer - marine + controls

In this role you drive procurement strategies to deliver best-in-class delivery, quality, cost, and compliance. You lead end-to-end supplier management and spend analysis to support category goals. You will enable RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage P2P processes to achieve YOY savings and improved supplier performance. Working across functions, you align with global sourcing strategy and drive continuous improvement. This role offers the chance to influence supplier ecosystems and contribute to decarbonization through strategic sourcing.

• Drive procurement strategies to achieve best-in-class delivery, quality, cost, and compliance
• Lead end-to-end supplier management: identify, evaluate, select, and maintain strategic supplier data
• Conduct spend analysis and provide reporting; reclassify spend by taxonomy
• Enable RFPs with Category Managers: data extraction, bid analysis, and expedited decision-making
• Negotiate and manage contracts and SOWs for assigned categories
• Produce savings and financial reporting; drive standard pricing and cost reductions
• Lead procurement in product lifecycle; manage all 3rd-party sourcing for year-over-year savings
• Manage end-to-end procure-to-pay: supplier approvals, master data, PO, delivery, and invoice matching
• Collaborate across functions to align with global sourcing strategy; uphold policies and compliance
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction across regions; support logistics as needed
• Support regional initiatives and ensure category management aligns with stakeholder needs
• Implement category strategies to reduce costs, including rebates and improved savings traceability
• Support supplier base rationalization and development; establish SLAs and conduct spend analysis by category/region
• Ensure compliance with global procurement policies; develop tools and reports for decision-making
• Lead transformation projects; collaborate with vendors and internal teams to deliver value
• Assist with upcoming RFPs and award decisions; drive YOY savings and working capital improvements
• Resolve PTP issues with vendors and optimize purchasing processes

• Excellent English and Italian written and verbal communication skills
• Strong influencing, communication, and facilitative skills
• Ability to lead teams xjrgpwk to targets and goals including cost savings
• Independent, highly motivated with ability to handle multiple responsibilities
• Demonstrated leadership, organization, planning, and administration skills
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web-based applications
• Good PC/software and project management knowledge
• Commercial awareness
• Solid project management skills for process/compliance
• Deep understanding of RFx processes and Source-To-Pay, plus Category Management
• Ability to perform Spend Analysis and rationalize tail spend
• Strong analytical skills and business judgment
