The Role reports on-site to the Managing Director, Ecobat Resources Italy, with a functional reporting line to the Vice President, Global Human Resources based in Dallas, Texas, U.S.
Ecobat Resources Italy employs around 130 staff and has a production capacity of 80,000 tons of downstream value-add lead and lead alloys derivatives per year. Most raw materials derive from industrial markets via Group purchasing and collection services. The operation adheres to the highest health, safety, and environmental standards.
Role
The HR Manager reports to the Managing Director and supports the senior management team by providing employment advice within the legislative framework in Italy.
The role is primarily based in Paderno, overseeing all Italy Resource locations. Main responsibilities include:
1. Devise and implement the HR strategy aligned with the business plan.
2. Manage the full employee lifecycle, offering advice and solutions to ensure effective HR operations.
3. Advise management on complex employee relations issues.
4. Promote the organisation’s culture and core values through the HR team.
5. Lead organizational change projects and develop talent and succession plans.
6. Monitor employee engagement and address concerns proactively.
7. Implement staff recognition programs and employee benefits.
8. Assess learning and development needs to foster a highly engaged workforce.
9. Handle employee relations casework fairly and consistently.
10. Act as escalation point for disciplinary, grievance, and other HR matters.
11. Prepare HR reports as needed.
12. Advise managers on employment terms, ensuring legal compliance.
13. Coordinate with pension administrators for timely processing of requests.
14. Support continuous improvement of HR policies and practices.
15. Strong knowledge of English is highly preferred.
Operations
Support the HR strategy with objectives, manage employee lifecycle data, review payroll accuracy, and lead cost management initiatives.
Health & Safety
Oversee insurance claims, communicate health and safety policies, participate in safety committees, and promote safety best practices.
Management
Develop HR staff, provide professional advice, and ensure fairness and consistency in processes.
Qualifications
* Relevant Degree and/or membership of a professional body (e.g., CIPD).
* Excellent knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
* Experience leading an HR team, preferably in manufacturing.
* Proficiency in HR databases and Microsoft Office.
* Experience influencing leadership and managing employee relations issues.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Able to travel as required to other locations and the US headquarters.
