Serves as the Assistant to the NEXCOM Hospitality Group (NHG) General Manager (GM) NF4, ensuring operations are efficient, profitable, and within established guidelines and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities :
* Assists the GM in operating a professional Department of Defense (DoD) lodging operation, providing services and amenities comparable to a mid-grade hotel for guests in Temporary Duty (TDY), Permanent Change of Station (PCS), or Leisure status.
* Performs supervisory duties, overseeing staffing and operations within the department.
* Delegates authority and assigns responsibilities to department heads/supervisors under the GM's guidance, reports deficiencies, and assumes GM duties in their absence.
* Maintains knowledge of Property Management System (PMS), financial systems, and Learning Management System (LMS).
* Uses the Enterprise Inventory Management System (CORE-HMS) to verify and modify room inventories across sales channels to maximize utilization and revenue.
* Processes reservations via local systems, Central Reservation System (CRS), and PMS.
* Maintains guest contact to ensure satisfaction and responds to inquiries and concerns.
* Provides customer-facing services and resource management at the installation level.
* Conducts inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and grounds, identifying and correcting deficiencies.
* Develops local operating instructions for housekeeping, maintenance, and reporting, recommending procedural updates to the GM.
* Maintains relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure service quality.
* Participates in the Manager on Duty program.
* Coordinates preventative maintenance with maintenance personnel.
* Works with the Contracting department on service requirements requiring contracts.
* Ensures all associates complete required compliance training.
* Maintains safety, fire, sanitation, and security standards, ensuring guest privacy and safety.
* Supports EEO policies and communicates these to staff.
* May be called upon to maintain operations during emergencies or inclement weather.
Other duties as assigned.
The position requires filing a Financial Disclosure Report (OGE) Form 450.
Minimum of 4 years of experience, including:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : 3 years in administrative, technical, or responsible work demonstrating operational knowledge, interpersonal skills, and mature judgment.
OR substitution of education for experience: 1 year of academic study above high school may substitute for 9 months of experience, up to a 4-year bachelor's degree for 3 years of general experience.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : At least 1 year in hotel/motel or related service industry management, including procurement, efficiency, sanitation, financial controls, budgeting, staffing, or related areas. Federal retail management experience may substitute for hospitality experience.
