Key Job Responsibilities
- Perform monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting processes for spares expenditures.
- Partner with AWS Infrastructure FP&A and business partners to create descriptive and prescriptive analysis.
- Work cross-functionally with business partners and various finance teams on strategic initiatives requiring NPV analyses and monthly reporting on financial status.
- Develop metrics and reports to provide visibility into cost structure and drive actionable goals.
- Develop business cases for ad-hoc projects and present recommendations to AWS senior management.
- Identify issues and remediation processes to address root causes.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role experience (engineering, process re‐engineering, quality assurance).
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
- MBA, or CPA.
- Knowledge of Tableau.
- Experience working with large‐scale data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes.
- Six Sigma Black Belt.
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
- Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
Salary Range: USA, WA, Seattle — $82,700.00 – $117,100.00 USD annually. Base salary plus sign‐on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
