Our client is a leading hyperscale data centre operator with a growing presence across Europe. They are looking for an experienced OT Network Engineer to join their team on a permanent, hybrid basis in Milan.
The Role
A hands‑on position supporting the design, implementation, and operation of secure, resilient network infrastructure across critical data centre OT environments. You will maintain network availability, performance, and security while supporting continuous improvement across a critical site infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

* Design, implement, maintain, and optimise network infrastructure for OT environments across critical data centre sites
* Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and related network devices
* Monitor network performance, investigate complex incidents, and drive root cause resolution
* Support monitoring, alerting, backup, testing, and documentation across OT network systems
* Apply security and operational best practices in a high-availability environment
* Provide out-of-hours and emergency support when required
What They Are Looking For
*
* Solid experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise, critical infrastructure, or data centre environment
* Strong hands‑on experience with xjrgpwk Cisco networking technologies and Fortinet security solutions
* Proven knowledge of LAN/WAN, VPN, OSPF, VLANs, firewalls, and TCP/IP
* Experience with OT systems such as BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLCs, or HMIs is desirable
* Scripting or automation experience using Bash or Python is an advantage
* Awareness of ISO, SOC 2, or PCI-DSS compliance requirements is beneficial
* Italian and English at B2/C1 level required
