We are looking for a Site Superintendent to join the Installation Department at our Milan HQ.
Act as the focal point with the customer and third parties for supervising pre-lay activities related to the power cable system.
Interface between customer civil works contractors and cable laying subcontractors for planning activities, checking civil works and infrastructure.
Supervise laying operations performed by subcontractors.
Maintain a record diary of onsite activities, managing subcontractors according to the plan and contract requirements.
Supervise backfilling operations by third-party companies regarding timing, quality, and cable protection.
Oversee site supervision including personnel, assets, technical aspects, logistics, and HSE management.
Enforce site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
Ensure compliance with internal rules and procedures throughout the process.
Support the preparation of method statements and other necessary documentation for onsite work in cooperation with and under the supervision of Installation Engineering.
You are the right fit if you have / are:
- Fluent in English and Italian.
- Degree in Engineering.
- Up to 5 years of experience in a construction site context.
- Availability to spend long periods abroad on site (approximately 60-70% per year).
- Driving license.
- Good communication skills and a relationship approach with clients and subcontractors.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, target orientation, with the ability to manage priorities in coordination with management.
- Attitude for fast learning and self-commitment.
- Strong teamwork skills, results-oriented, and an ambitious mindset.
