In 2022 Pirelli opened the Pirelli Digital Solutions Center in Bari, the first development centre entirely focused on digital innovation, created with the goal of enriching internal skills in the most strategic areas for Pirelli. The Digital Center employees are involved in the development of software and algorithms destined for the most advanced processes of planning, manufacturing, and marketing of the group’s tyres worldwide.

Key projects include strengthening the Big Data platform for collection, transformation, and analysis of all data from the company’s various ecosystems. This platform accelerates product development, improves quality, maximises machine efficiency, optimises commercial effectiveness, and creates new digital services. It also supports studies directly on the tyre’s “Digital Twin” and leverages the Industrial Internet of Things to optimise the supply chain, predict maintenance, and reduce costs and energy consumption.

Drive Your Future

The UX Intern will support the design of intuitive, user‑centered digital experiences across Pirelli’s digital products and platforms.

Working alongside designers, product managers, and engineers, you will contribute to the design process by helping translate user needs and business requirements into simple, effective, and scalable solutions.

You will have the opportunity to work on real‑world challenges, contributing to meaningful digital solutions used at scale.

What You Will Learn

• Supporting user research activities (interviews, surveys, usability testing).
• Contributing to user journeys, personas, and interaction flows.
• Creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Iterating on design solutions based on user feedback and data insights.
• Applying usability principles and accessibility best practices.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams (Product, Engineering, Data).
• Contributing to and maintaining a design system.
• Presenting design ideas and supporting documentation to stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

Degree

Bachelor’s or master’s degree (ongoing or completed) in UX Design, Interaction Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Digital Design, Psychology, Computer Science, or related fields.

Language

• Italian: native proficiency
• English: full professional proficiency (written and spoken)

Technical / Specific Skills

• Basic understanding of UX design principles and user‑centered design.
• Proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and interface design.
• Ability to create wireframes and simple interactive prototypes.
• Interest in user research and usability testing.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Curiosity, proactivity, and willingness to learn.

Nice to Have

• Portfolio showcasing academic or personal UX projects.
• Basic knowledge of front‑end technologies (HTML/CSS).
• Familiarity with Agile or product development processes.
