We are seeking an experienced and strategic Labor and Employment Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide counsel and representation to employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including compliance, litigation, internal investigations, labor relations, and workplace policy development. This role requires strong advocacy skills, a deep understanding of state and federal employment laws, and the ability to offer practical, business‑oriented solutions to complex workplace issues.
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on employment‑related legal issues including hiring, discipline, termination, discrimination, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence, and workplace safety.
Represent employers in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and before administrative agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, and NLRB.
Draft and review employment contracts, separation agreements, handbooks, and workplace policies.
Conduct internal investigations and assist clients with responding to employee complaints and regulatory inquiries.
Stay current with evolving labor and employment laws and provide training to clients on compliance and best practices.
Collaborate with clients to proactively manage legal risk and develop HR strategies aligned with business goals.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law and in good standing in Texas.
2–7+ years of labor and employment law experience, preferably in a law firm or in‑house environment.
Strong litigation and negotiation skills.
Excellent analytical, communication, and client counseling abilities.
Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
