About the business unit
The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we're helping to deliver the energy transition globally.
Overview of the role

Come work for our detail design engineering team in Genova Italy. You will be part of the electrical branch of the team designing electrical part for power plants, renewables and hydrogen applications enjoying the 2D/3D modelling in a multidisciplinary environment. You will be constantly interfacing with other discipline's colleagues and with challenging customers helping them to design and purchase what is needed to the project.
We are looking for electrical designer, from fresh to moderate experienced to strength our team, to be based in our office in Genoa for detail design works and OE services for Power Plants.
Candidate specification
The job requires the Electrical Design Engineer to work in team for preparing proposals, executing projects, support management for developing new clients and markets. International travel for short periods of time may be required.
The successful candidate will be able to perform a range of roles including:
* Delivering projects in accordance with agreed schedules at various stages including feasibility/planning/ preparation of tender stage technical drawings, specifications and production of construction drawings and design compliance monitoring at construction stage for Power Plant Applications and HV-MV Substations
* Coordination with client project team and internal team disciplines within Mott MacDonald Group including Civil, Process, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Control and Environmental enhancing our business development and delivering projects in new technologies including renewable energy
