The candidate will drive the global logistic set up, as part of the Global Supply Chain organization, directly reporting to the global supply chain director. This will include designing and transforming both transport and warehousing, at global and in country level, and will be in charge of managing the global providers. The candidate will also be in charge of creating a consistent and sustainable logistic organization.
Responsibilities
1. Design, implement and execute core processes on Logistics and Warehouse Management, including in country and cross country deliveries, across all regions
2. Re-design the logistics and distribution network including the warehouse strategy
3. Create the logistic digitalization roadmap, identify key logistic system requirements and ensure adoption in the global template
4. Create real time transparency to logistic flows to all stakeholders, including store managers and customer service
5. Select and manage the key logistic providers globally coordinating and aligning the in country teams
6. Define the proper logistic organization set up in line with the supply chain transformation roadmap, also recommending in house vs. outsourced models
7. Set up a continuous improvement approach to logistic operations globally; be responsible for business continuity, including creation of mitigation plans
8. Provide guidelines for in store logistic operations, identifying the right balance with warehouse activities and simplification needs
9. Design and implement sustainability initiatives and lead the way on driving best in class sustainable operations
10. Measure and steer SLAs with manufacturers and logistic providers
What you'll need
11. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, or engineering
12. 8+ years of experience working in logistics, warehouse, or transportation operations
13. Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles
14. Strong team player
15. Ability to manage, coach, and provide training for direct and indirect reports
16. Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
17. Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software
