We work on complex supply‑chain challenges and seek talented people to help deliver safety, security, and cost‑efficient capacity for our customers. /ppThe role is part of the AIS‑SC organization, partnering with AWS’s most strategic hardware suppliers to source, negotiate, and execute contracts that align with business objectives while maintaining sustainable relationships. /ppbKey Responsibilities /b /pulliServe as the primary relationship manager for a strategic supply partner providing design, development, manufacturing, and integration services for AWS servers and rack integration. /liliMatrix‑manage supplier performance across cost, quality, capacity, delivery, compliance, sustainability, and overall supply strategy. /liliNegotiate and execute complex supplier agreements, SOWs, and contracts in collaboration with cross‑functional leads. /liliPartner with teams to deliver RFPs, evaluate vendor responses, and align on business awards. /liliDrive AWS’s cost objectives through detailed cost‑driver analysis and bill‑of‑material reviews. /liliDevelop and negotiate sourcing strategies that align with business goals while maintaining sustainable supplier relationships. /liliInform senior leadership of business status, risk, and opportunities via written narratives and executive updates. /liliManage vendor escalations and provide executive‑level updates as required. /liliPrepare and present data‑driven business reviews for senior management focused on procurement execution and supply continuity. /liliIdentify technology trends and drive supplier product roadmaps that align with AWS technical development and manufacturing initiatives. /li /ulpbBasic Qualifications /b /pulliKnowledge of basic supply agreement construction and key contracting provisions. /liliBachelor’s or advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related quantitative field, or 6+ years of related experience. /lili6+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement of hardware (or 4+ with an advanced degree). /lili3+ years of experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, etc. /lili5+ years of related supply chain experience in cloud computing, high technology, or consumer electronics. /li /ulpbPreferred Qualifications /b /pulliKnowledge of the semiconductor industry, processes, technologies, and key suppliers. /liliGlobal supply chain process knowledge; demonstrated ability to negotiate and execute complex global sourcing contracts. /liliExperience creating and improving end‑to‑end global sourcing, procurement, and supply chain strategies with third‑party manufacturing. /liliExperience with international procurement, trade, and incoterms. /liliExcellent creative thinking skills focused on developing innovative solutions to complex problems. /liliMBA or advanced degree in engineering, operations research, logistics, mathematics, or other quantitative disciplines. /li /ulpAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
