Furthermore, upon selection, they will be subject to a general security screening performed by an external provider (further information will be provided at interview stage). /strong /ppThe successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to: /pollipTasks and responsibilities which will involve working on the thermal control system of an advanced thermo-fluidic system: /p /lilipTechnical coordination of the activity; /p /lilipPerform concept design of the thermal management solution, including structural, thermal, and fluidic aspects; /p /lilipDerive requirements for the engineering model thermal management solution; /p /lilipDefine the verification plan of the system on what concerns the thermal management solution; /p /lilipDesign the thermal management solution; /p /lilipDevelop thermal and fluidic test setups, plans and procedures for the verification of the thermal management solution of the system; /p /lilipProcure the parts for and manufacture the thermal management solution for the system engineering model; /p /lilipExecute dedicated TVAC tests aimed at the verification of the thermal management solution; /p /lilipOptimize the thermal management solution and update the requirements based on the outcomes of the test campaign; /p /lilipPerform technical activities, including: /p /lilipConceptual and detailed design of thermal control systems for spacecraft hardware; /p /lilipModelling and analysis of spacecraft hardware and optimization of TCS; /p /lilipGeneration, review and/or negotiation of requirements/specifications, design, development, and verification plans as well as test plans and procedures; /p /lilipParticipation in MAIT campaigns, as the responsible thermal engineer; /p /lilipContribute to commercial activities including (technical) proposal preparation, offers, team business development, etc; /p /lilipDirect interfacing with customers on a technical level; /p /lilipSupervision and mentoring of junior colleagues; /p /lilipParticipation and active contribution to team and company development, e.g., generating/supporting novel technical ideas/innovations, new processes/methods, new ways of work and positive work culture. /p /li /olpstrongATG is dedicated to diversity and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer. If it doesn’t align completely with the essential criteria, it could result in rejection. /strong /pollipA Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or similar; /p /lilipAt least 5 years of relevant industrial work experience in space thermal engineering; /p /lilipExperience with fluid dynamics in the context of thermal engineering; /p /lilipExperience with thermal equipment testing in vacuum; /p /lilipBroad knowledge and experience on how to develop and realize space thermal control solutions; /p /lilipExperience with the design of heat-exchanger is an asset; /p /lilipSignificant experience with Thermal software (ESATAN-TMS or THERMICA), CAD software (Solidworks, Catia) and FEM software (Nastran, FEMAP) is an asset; /p /lilipExperience with the procurement of thermal hardware is an asset; /p /lilipAbility to work autonomously and self-managed; /p /lilipCandidates must be eligible to work in the EU; /p /lilipAvailability to frequently travel to customer’s premises in Milan region the first year. Ideally available to work seconded at our customer’s premises during some periods of time.
