Company Description Job Description: The Business Unit Manager, Europe, will ensure that the Region works efficiently and productively by implementing strategies and techniques that will enhance the productive output. They will be responsible for all strategic, innovation, commercial, and engineering activities European Unit within the Appliance Components Division. They will be responsible for Identifying and executing long term growth strategies across the market. Responsible for maintaining and increasing profits across strategic growth markets and legacy markets. Develop future leaders within the company and coach the team through sales excellence execution and business model expertise. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Work with Global Team to establish a vision for the European Region business to position it as a market leader. - Develop and deliver a regional strategy, to meet Sales and Profitability Targets. Provide strong commercial leadership, and act as a figurehead when dealing with customers on large or complicated projects. - Establish a results-oriented management style that measures and evaluates individual performance against clearly defined accountable competencies, responsibilities, and objectives. - Lead the management team to success by ensuring balanced decision-making in the best interest of the Company. - Participate in the annual planning process & contribute to long-range strategic financial plans. - Review performance relative to sales, costs, budget administration and payables to drive growth and profitability, and to initiate appropriate corrective action when necessary. - Coach and develop talent within the business unit, focusing on attracting and retaining the best talent available. - Establish and control pricing for all products and keep abreast of competitive pricing activity to recommend a pricing structure that enhances the business unit’s position in the marketplace. - Maintain frequent contact with major key accounts to ensure growth and to promote the strength and integrity of the business. Qualifications: - University degree, Business, Engineering, or Manufacturing. MBA or MS preferred. - International mindset and background. - Cross-cultural and Diversity & Inclusion awareness. - Operation background welcome - 5 years commercial & portfolio management. - 5 years of global international business experience with direct ownership of multiple sites - 5 years in Manufacturing Environment - Demonstrated ability to produce results within a decentralized environment and to develop productive working relationships at all levels of the organization. - Experience in change management, and use of analytical skills to identify opportunities & measure results. - Business Curious. - Hands-on, results-driven approach to achieving success. - Ability to set a vision and lead a team. - Ability to identify long-term market needs; translates needs into growth strategies. - Has strong financial acumen, knows financial levers, and drives functions to effectively contribute to the division’s results. - Familiarity with the ITW 80/20 concepts (preferred) - Uses personal influence rather than position power to get things done. - Leads from an enterprise-first perspective. - Demonstrate Great Strategic Choices. - Deliver Great Results. - Great Talent Manager. - Open to geographic mobility & desire to grow upward globally. Additional Information Must be willing to travel as necessary to fulfill the job responsibilities. Travel estimate for this position is estimated to be 30%.
