Job Description Summary At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation. As IT Project Manager for military business, you will be responsible for designing and delivering digital solutions that enable the Avio Aero Supply Chain team to meet military programs’ requirements and regulations. In this role you will have to ensure proper alignment with the digital platforms used for civil programs, leveraging common blueprints, infrastructures, and vendors wherever possible. Job Description: Essential Responsibilities Partner with all relevant business stakeholders (mainly from Supply Chain team) to design and deliver digital solutions able to meet military programs’ requirements and regulations Coordinate activities and projects spanning multiple Functions in a cross disciplined digital environment Work closely with technical teams to ensure project deliverables are in line with expectations Manage risks and dependencies among different streams and organizations for the delivery of the digital solutions Track and monitor program status and metrics to ensure milestones and internal/external delivery commitments are met Ensure continuous communication of program status through appropriate key performance indicators and an adequate reporting cadence Proactively identifies and resolves issues and makes recommendations for improvements to existing processes Manage budgets associated with project deploy, project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project C oordinating direct or indirect resources whether they’re internal or external to GE Aerospace Be proactive in exploring alternate technology and be able to make technology choices based on experience and impact analysis Qualification/Requirements Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline or High School Technical Diploma Strong and significant work experience in IT PM role Proven knowledge of Supply Chain processes Established project management and organizational abilities Familiarity with operating in a complex environment (multi-business, multi-disciplinary and globally distributed teams) Experience in using ERP Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams Strong oral and written communication skills Fluent Italian and good English knowledge (written and spoken) Work Visa and Italian citizenship, in accordance with local regulation, is required Desired Characteristics Experience in using SAP and MES platform PMP certification Competencies in Agile and Scrum methodologies Able to use Lean and 6 sigma tools and drive change Proven analytical and problem resolution skills What we offer Smart working and work life-balance Avio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
