PpbTitle: /b Associate or Senior Editor, Nature Catalysis /p pbLocations: /b Shanghai, Beijing, Milan and Pune – hybrid working model /p pbApplication Deadline: /b July 12, 2026 (Candidates will be considered as they apply) /p pbNature Catalysis /b is a monthly multi‑disciplinary journal that publishes original research papers, reviews, perspectives, news views and editorial pieces on all aspects of catalysis science and engineering. /p h3About The Role /h3 pTo help us build on the success of the portfolio, we’re seeking an editor with a research background in electrocatalysis or photocatalysis, or broader heterogeneous catalysis. The successful candidate will primarily support Nature Catalysis and may collaborate closely with other Nature Portfolio journals as needed. Responsibilities and journal assignments may evolve over time in response to portfolio needs. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liHandle original research papers and work closely with editor teams on all aspects of the editorial process, including manuscript selection and overseeing peer review. /li liMake well‑reasoned editorial decisions on submitted manuscripts in the light of expert advice. /li liContribute to content and strategy in this area at Nature Catalysis and other Nature Portfolio journals as needed. /li liCommission, edit content such as reviews, perspectives, comments or write editorials. /li liLiaise extensively with editors at other journals in the Nature family and with experts in the international scientific community. /li liAttend conferences and visit research institutions. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liA PhD, or equivalent qualification, in a topic related to catalysis. /li liAdditional research experience (such as postdoctoral positions) may be valuable but is not required. /li liA thorough understanding of recent trends and developments in the field. /li liA passion for science and a thirst to learn more; demonstrate breadth of interest in scientific research within and beyond your specialty. /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including fluent English (written and spoken). /li liThe ability to read and assess the novelty, context and implications of research submitted to the journal from different areas of this discipline. /li liBe eager to travel and meet scientists worldwide, learn more about their research, and help them learn what we look for in the papers we publish. /li liEditorial experience is not required, although applicants with editorial experience are encouraged to apply and may be considered for Senior Editor positions. /li /ul h3Application Requirements /h3 ul liA cover letter telling us more about you and why you want to join the editorial team at Nature Catalysis.
