Senior Photonics Engineer – Integrated Photonics
📍 Milan, Italy (On-site) | 🕒 Full-time | 📅 Start date: As soon as possible
We are looking for a Senior Photonics Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of our programmable integrated photonic chipsets, used for the acquisition, transmission, and processing of optical data at the speed of light. This role is critical to ensuring the scalability and energy efficiency of our solutions, contributing to a sustainable future through advanced technologies.
What you will do
As a key contributor, you will design and develop photonic sensor modules for the acquisition of physical parameters in different environmental conditions. You will implement and optimize broadband data transmission using programmable chips. You will collaborate with the engineering team to integrate PhotonCore™ into photonic computing solutions. You will conduct tests and analyses to ensure the quality and reliability of photonic products. You will develop detailed technical documentation and support the production team during the implementation phase. In addition, you will innovate and propose improvements to increase the energy efficiency of photonic technologies.

Essential Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or related fields
* Proven experience in integrated photonic circuit design
* Proficiency in CAD tools for photonic chip design
* In-depth knowledge of optical transmission technologies
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
