Ph3Job Description /h3pThe Finance Manager supports the General Manager by providing financial oversight, operational guidance, and accurate reporting to aid in effective business decision-making. The role ensures strong internal controls, compliance with company policies, and safeguarding of hotel assets, while driving efficiency and profitability at the property level. /ppThe Finance Manager partners with auditors, tax consultants, and local authorities, while managing daily finance operations including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, procurement, and cash flow management. /ppThis position requires strong accounting expertise, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support and mentor the property’s finance and accounting team. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliSupport the General Manager and department heads with financial analysis, forecasting, and business planning. /liliPrepare annual operating and capital budgets; monitor performance against forecasts, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions. /liliEnsure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting in line with company and ownership requirements. /liliMaintain strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, audit standards, and local fiscal regulations. /liliOversee daily finance operations including accounts payable / receivable, payroll, credit and collections, and purchasing. /liliMonitor cash flow, review disbursements, and ensure appropriate approvals and documentation. /liliAnalyze ROI for capital projects and provide financial insights to support investment decisions. /liliWork closely with operational teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve productivity. /liliEnsure contracts, leases, and other financial / legal documents are properly maintained and monitored. /liliSupport internal and external audit processes, and assist in implementing corrective action plans. /liliTrain, develop, and motivate the finance team to ensure efficiency, compliance, and succession readiness. /liliParticipate in risk assessments, maintain risk registers, and implement mitigation measures. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3pBachelor’s degree or higher education qualification or equivalent in Accounting, Finance and at least 5 years of experience in hotel accounting or audit with at least two years in a Director of Finance or similar supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. /ppKnowledge of accounting management duties such as negotiating hotel space and tenant leases; processing payroll; performing asset management duties; providing business projections, displacement analysis, preparing government reports, filing tax returns, etc. as needed or requested. Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred. /ph3Technical skills and Knowledge /h3ulliAbility to work quickly and accurately under pressure. /liliWork closely with internal and external stakeholders. /liliStrong analytical and numerical skills including a good understanding of financial valuation methodology. /liliAdvanced ability to use Microsoft applications i.e., Excel and PowerPoint /liliExcellent written and oral level in English and Italian.
