Each proton therapy center we build is a combination of cutting-edge technology, complex infrastructure, and close collaboration with hospital teams. The installation and operational launch of these systems require dedication, precision, and a strong partnership mindset.As a Site Manager – Site Leader, you will initially lead the full installation of IBA's proton therapy equipment, as well as third-party systems, during the first year of the project.Once the installation is completed, you will transition into the Site Leader role, taking full responsibility for the on-site proton therapy technology and operations, ensuring technical service excellence, patient safety, and strong customer relationships.You will act as both a technical expert and a strategic partner, driving performance, developing your team, and going the extra mile to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.As Site Manager, you will lead a team of 7 engineers and be supported by a dedicated site administrator.As Site Leader, you will manage a smaller technical team (up to 2 engineers), focused on delivering high-quality service, solving issues proactively, improving processes, and maintaining safe and efficient operations that meet IBA's standards.The installation will start in May-June 2026. The start date of the contract will be on January-Februari 2026.Challenges we trust you withLead and coordinate all site activities (organized in shifts), prioritizing installation and maintenance workManage logistics and materials on site, coordinating with internal and external subcontractorsEnsure that customer requirements are met, maintain effective communication, and foster strong customer satisfactionSupervise your team and actively participate in technical operations when neededPrepare and track site budgets and maintain thorough documentation of all site activitiesEnsure deployment and compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policiesEnforce and maintain IBA's quality standards on sitePromote a high-performance, safety-first culture across the teamManage HR aspects of the site: shift planning, time policy enforcement, team development, etc.What we valueYou have:A university degree in engineering, technical sciences, or a related fieldProven experience leading technical service and operations teams, ideally in a high-availability or mission-critical environment7+ years of experience managing, coaching, and developing teams of 7–10 peopleStrong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust-based relationships, both internally and with customersA strategic mindset with the ability to create action plans, delegate effectively, and align team efforts with business objectivesExcellent leadership qualities with a focus on mentorship and team growthExperience in customer relationship management, budget tracking, and operational excellenceFamiliarity with maintenance planning tools (ideally with a CMMS)Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executivesA strong sense of ownership, accountability, and pride in the performance of the siteDue to contractual obligations, the selected candidate must have a full proficiency in Italian.
