Production CCR Supervisor
Start Date: October/November • Duration: 12 months (renewable) • Location: Milan, Italy • Status: Residential
SERVICE PURPOSE: Supervise and manage all Panel Operator activities within the Central Control Room of the LNG Plant, ensuring alignment of field and control room activities, initiating and carrying out steps to improve plant optimization, in order to ensure continuous, safe and efficient operations to achieve LNG production targets.
HSE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Adhere to HSE and Company policies, Confidentiality, Compliance needs and Procedures.
* Promote continuously safety culture.
* Work safely, avoid incident or dangerous situations, contribute toward continual HSE improvement, demonstrate safety behaviour for self and others.
* Attend mandatory HSE trainings, refresher/expired trainings and apply them on site; ensure team and vendor compliance.
* Support to maintain and continually improve ISO 14001 Environment Management System requirements and other management initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
During Engineering phase:
* Review engineering documents and ensure they are coherent and in line with Company expectations.
* Develop and write production procedures.
* Participate in defining start-up sequence, considering flare emissions reduction.
* Participate in Hazop and engineering reviews, DCS FATs, reduction of alarms.
* Develop and implement production processes (PTW, inhibitions, downgraded situations, safety tours, logs, Simops).
* Develop the list of production tools.
* Implement digital solutions (digital twin, PI).
* Recruit and train production staff, especially Mozambicans.
During Operation phase:
* Ensure safety of personnel, environmental protection, and technical integrity of equipment in his domain; implement HSE rules and follow procedures.
* Maintain good housekeeping of CCR, offices, kitchen; ensure a clean and safe working environment, proper storage of equipment.
* Occasionally participate in near misses analyses, HAZOPs, technical reviews, risk assessment, safety audits, RCA, incident analyses.
* Record all downgraded situations formally.
* Perform the role defined by the Company Work Permit System and SIMOPS management plans.
* Verify that panel operators are aware of plant status and ongoing site activities through strict PTW follow-up; ensure clear communication at PTW opening/closing between panel operators and field operators.
* Perform the role defined by the Company Emergency Response Plan.
* Monitor and control plant production parameters to achieve production targets.
* Monitor controller set points, correct according to recommended values, and report deviations to Day and Shift Superintendents.
* Perform risk assessments for inhibitions and manage all inhibitions of plant safety devices to safely return them to normal.
* Guide and assist panel operators during critical phases such as start-up, shutdown, troubleshooting, and emergencies.
* Provide full coverage for Trains, Utility/S&L and Subsea panel operators during absences.
* Contribute to plant production optimization to improve cost-efficiency with minimum resources.
* Ensure HSE dossier is regularly audited and updated; record valve stroke tests for SDV/ESDV/BDV as planned or opportunity-based, in coordination with process and utilities teams.
* Participate in troubleshooting plant upsets and trips; analyze root causes through alarm/event logs, SLD, etc., to facilitate smooth operation.
* Participate in alarm reduction initiatives to reduce alarm count and assist Panel Operators.
* Log main events and perform shift handover.
* Lead and develop the Production Central Control Room team; train/mentor future panel operators in DCS and ICSS.
* Undertake training and development; assess progress; set annual objectives for subordinates and conduct end-of-year appraisals.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Excellent knowledge of DCS panel operations.
* Excellent knowledge of Safety Shut down systems (ESD, ESD1, ESD2, EDP1, EDP2 and associated safety) and safety logic.
* Excellent knowledge of oil & gas / LNG production processes and methods.
* Excellent knowledge of natural gas treatment, LNG production activities, Storage & Loading and Utilities operations.
* Excellent ability to troubleshoot process problems and upsets.
* Excellent knowledge of HSE and Environment Management systems.
* Excellent knowledge of PTW system in Oil & Gas Industry.
* High knowledge of Emergency Response systems and handling plant emergencies.
* Good knowledge of computer Windows office applications.
* High command of written and spoken English.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND
* Qualifications: Bachelor of higher education in Applied Science or Chemical Engineering or equivalent with international standard and solid experience.
* Experience: Minimum 15 years specific production experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry; minimum 10 years in Senior Production Positions; minimum 7 years in LNG production plants and Panel Operator (not LNG terminals); high leadership.
