We are looking for a person who will join Moleskine as a EMEA Financial Controller for a fixed-term contract. The position is based in our headquarter office in Milan.You will be responsible for financial controlling activities across the EMEA region, ensuring accurate P& L management, forecasting and performance analysis. The role acts as a key business partner for commercial and management teams, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.Main responsibilities:
Full ownership and analysis of the EMEA P& L, including variance analysis vs budget and forecast
Preparation and coordination of Budget and Forecast (BGT / Rolling Forecast) processes for the EMEA region
Monitoring of sales performance, margins and cost structure, identifying risks and opportunities
Development of ad hoc financial reports and KPIs for management and HQ
Acting as a financial business partner to the commercial team, commercial initiatives and strategic decisions
Supervision, coordination and development of a junior controlling resource
Support to management in financial evaluations, scenario analysis and business cases
Requirements:
Seniority: 3+ years of experience in Controlling / Finance roles
Academic background: Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration or similar
Career path: Previous experience in Financial Controlling, Business Controlling or FP& A within structured organizations
IT skills: Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and reporting / BI tools
Soft skills & competencies: Strong analytical mindset, business orientation, ability to work autonomously, effective communication skills, proactive approach and capability to partner with senior stakeholders
