According to the indications given by the Service Project Manager, the Site Coordinator and Support Team carry out the technical service activities at the customers’ sites, collaborating with the relevant Service functions involved.
He is responsible for organizing the job activities related to service delivery, with particular attention to the technical content based on his direct experience.
His task includes the technical evaluation of GEA machines at customer sites, identifying mechanical and electrical components that need replacement or modernization.
He undertakes the following main activities and tasks:
1. Active participation in scheduled Service activities such as Audit, Maintenance, Modification, Revamping, Upgrade, and Modernization at customer sites.
2. Defining spare parts, processing, and timing for machine overhauls; executing line/machine restarts following maintenance, modification, upgrade, or retrofit.
3. Performing routine and extraordinary machine maintenance at customer sites.
4. Preparing detailed technical reports on activities performed and upcoming tasks.
5. Traveling worldwide as needed (approximately 120 days per year).
6. Coordinating and managing on-site external technicians and subcontractors.
7. Managing technical, operational, and timing details of interventions in alignment with received instructions.
8. Working closely with the Site Coordinator and Service Project Manager to ensure safety standards are met and evaluating necessary corrective actions.
9. Drawing up maintenance lists.
10. Handling internal tasks such as troubleshooting, remote support activities, and Help Desk services.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience as a Service Transfer Technician for plant maintenance and modifications in the Beverage industry. They possess strong management skills in service organization, customer mediation, and internal coordination. Additionally, they have technical planning and evaluation skills, capable of analyzing customer needs.
