PROJECT SPECIFICS
Background
The NCI Agency has been established to meet the collective requirements of NATO nations in capability delivery and service provision related to C3, Communications, Information, and Cyber Defence functions, facilitating integration of Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, Target Acquisition functions and their information exchange.
The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) acquires, deploys, and defends communication systems for NATO's decision-makers and Commands, operating against cyber threats and collaborating with governments and industry to prevent cyber-attacks. We seek specialized advisory services to enhance our workforce capacity.
NIMSC SATCOM Business Unit provides NATO and Partners with scalable, secure, reliable, and integrated SATCOM Services focusing on NATO Operations, Crisis Response, Missions, Exercises, and Business Continuity. It manages the NATO SATCOM Ground Stations in Kester (BEL), Lughezzano (ITA), Atalanti (GRC), Izmir (TUR), Eggemoen (NOR), and Costa Da Caparica (PRT).
Problem Statement
Current State: Our satellite ground stations face technical challenges due to workforce gaps requiring immediate specialized support.
Impact: These issues could disrupt satellite communication operations, affecting mission effectiveness.
End State: Achieve stable, efficient satellite ground station operations with minimal downtime.

Description Of Deliverables (Key Responsibilities)
Support for our Satellite Communication Support team, including installation, maintenance, and repair of satellite systems. Support activities include:
* Installation and configuration of satellite communication systems, including baseband, RF, antenna, monitor and control systems, and software.
* Hardware and software updates and changes, including configuration adjustments and patches.
* Installation of power, data, and fiber optic cables, maintaining documentation.
* Supporting local power technicians in installing and setting up power, HVAC, and ancillary systems.
* Regular maintenance inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of SATCOM, Power, HVAC, security, and ancillary systems.
Service Delivery Support
Engage with stakeholders, provide technical troubleshooting, maintain records, and support 24/7 service delivery under the supervision of the site support team.
SERVICE KPIs AND DELIVERABLES
* Maintain 100% accurate service records
* Complete all scheduled inspections and maintenance tasks on time
* Diagnose and resolve issues within 48 hours
* Ensure correct installation and configuration of all system elements
* Perform hardware/software updates without errors
* Install and maintain cables as per standards
Payment Milestones
Payments depend on successful acceptance of Monthly Service Performance Reports, signed by the authorized personnel, and are scheduled monthly according to the milestones for each year of performance.
Practical Arrangements
Location: NCI Agency, Lughezzano, Italy, in a Class II Security Area.
Travel: May be required to other locations; costs are out of scope.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:30, Friday 08:30-15:30, with possible rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

Service Delivery Requirements
* Ability to work 24-hour shifts
* Valid NATO-SECRET Security Clearance
* English proficiency at C1 level; local language skills are a plus
Qualifications include a high school diploma or degree in electronics or related field, 10 years of experience, knowledge of measurement instruments, customer service skills, a valid driver’s license, and preferred certifications like CompTIA A+ or Network+.
