Evaluate emerging materials and technologies to enhance product competitiveness while reducing environmental impact.brSUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE Lead sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction, circular economy principles, and lifecycle assessments. Collaborating with Technical Compliance Manager and Safety Engineers to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and drive corporate sustainability goals across product portfolio.brMATERIALS VALUE ENGINEERING Drive cost reduction initiatives through materials optimization, alternative material evaluation, and design-for-manufacturing principles. Analyze material costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining or improving performance and quality.brAPPROVALS AND CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS Manage materials certification processes, testing protocols, and documentation to ensure materials meet Epta’s compliance requirements. Ensure compliance with certification programs when related to materials and product sustainabilitybrSUPPLIER QUALIFICATION AND MATERIALS SOURCING Establish supplier qualification criteria for materials and components with focus on quality, sustainability, and traceability. Build strategic partnerships with material suppliers to access innovative sustainable solutions and ensure supply continuity.brLIFECYCLE COST AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY Analyze total cost of ownership including materials, energy consumption, maintenance, and end-of-life considerations. Drive circular economy initiatives such as recyclability, remanufacturing, and sustainable disposal strategies.brTECHNICAL STANDARDS AND DOCUMENTATION Collaborate with Content Experts to establish materials standards, testing protocols, and technical specifications.
