Senior Electrical Engineer - Hardware (HW) and Firmware (FW) Developer
MECTRON SPA, a leading designer and manufacturer of medical and dental equipment, is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer - Hardware (HW) and Firmware (FW) Developer.
Reporting to the team leader, PM, and Department manager, he/she has responsibility in his technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology or best working practices in respect to the current working methods.
The resource will be in charge of:
* Research, design development, and testing of electrical components such as equipment and components of a complex system, both for commercial and internal company use.
* Firmware development and testing: he/she gathers the requirements of the expected behavior of the embedded software and analyzes possible solutions.
* Analysis for the design of complex sections of the firmware/software.
* Estimation of the effort required for completing the technical tasks and supporting less experienced team members on the task effort estimation.
* Documentation regarding the technical tasks and technical analysis.
* Verification of the job done by less experienced colleagues.
* Management of the project in his job area.
Requirements:
* Established experience in the use of Altium Designer.
* Expertise in firmware development in C/C++ for PIC, ARM, and ESP32.
* Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
* Optional knowledge of tools such as LabVIEW and Simulink.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and initiative.
* Experience in planning and managing development team activities using Microsoft Project.
* Ability to draft technical documents (analysis, reporting, etc.).
* Ability to lead and manage a technical team.
* Preferable experience in the medical or automotive sectors with knowledge of relevant regulations.
Educational Requirements:
* Secondary education and 10 years of relevant experience.
* Baccalaureate degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
* Advanced degree with 5 years of experience.
Salary Package:
Open-ended contract with fixed plus variable remuneration.
