Responsibilities Manage a team of two EHS Coordinators across NA Processing. Lead Environmental and Energy Reporting for United Malt. Ensure compliance with environmental, legal requirements, permits, and standards across North America. Align all North American Processing with the United Malt Management System Framework for safety, health, and environment, working closely with quality and food safety teams to improve risk management and maintain certifications. Support and develop EHS documentation and compliance at all sites to ensure ongoing accreditation. Provide coaching, advice, and reporting to leaders to integrate EHS into daily operations. Investigate and report notable incidents according to company procedures. Support Worker Compensation Claims and Processes for US and Canadian operations. Collaborate with global and NA stakeholders to develop improvement initiatives for EHS strategy. Lead development of programs supporting NA and wider business goals. Work with leadership to achieve EHS goals and contribute to the global EHS strategy. Support EHS aspects of NA Capital Expenditure projects. Coach and develop EHS Coordinators. Ensure regular EHS meetings and Worker Consultation at each site. Develop an Internal Audit framework to measure legal compliance in US and Canadian jurisdictions. Maintain internal audit and inspection plans aligned with global processes. Oversee review of events and ensure timely closure of actions. Skills & Abilities Build strong relationships with regulators and site management teams. Work with Operations and Engineering on sustainability projects. Experience working with Environmental NGOs. Effective communicator with influence over various stakeholders. Proficient in MS Office 360 and flow chart tools. Analytical skills for risk, hazard, and incident investigations. Interpret legal requirements and develop compliant procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Willing to travel domestically and internationally, including Canada and Australia. Valid driver’s license, passport, and ability to rent a car for business. Ability to conduct in-house training on procedures. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in EHS or related field; graduate degree preferred.
