The opportunity :
We are looking to hire an experienced SRE to become a Services BU Lead with strong leadership capabilities. You will lead and organize the SRE practice in Agile Lab, managing multiple services with a focus on high-quality delivery.
Salary : 45K - 67.5K
Responsibilities :
* Analyze designs and implement complex infrastructures;
* Challenge team processes, seeking improvements;
* Communicate with self-awareness;
* Set direction for the delivery of multiple services;
* Identify strategic technical debt and provide cost / benefit analysis for its elimination;
* Understand the business landscape and stakeholder expectations;
* Lead recruiting efforts and capacity planning;
* Assist team members with delivery when needed;
* Produce quality metrics;
* Manage team members with diverse skill sets effectively.
Requirements :
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science;
2. Previous experience as an SRE Engineer (4-10 years);
3. Good knowledge of Cloudera cluster management;
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java / Scala, Bash, Python;
5. Deep understanding of UNIX / Linux systems internals, TCP / IP networking, and security practices;
6. Experience with at least one cloud provider among Azure, AWS, and GCP;
7. Expertise in cloud-native technologies, IaC, Docker, and Kubernetes;
8. Excellent communication skills;
9. Proactive attitude;
10. Team player mentality;
11. Ability to troubleshoot complex networking, data, and software issues;
12. Leadership qualities.
