JOB PURPOSE/ROLE
The Asset Management Compliance Expert is responsible and will directly report and support the Asset Management Coverage Officer for Risk and Compliance in overseeing the Compliance organizations of the Allianz Group Asset Management corporate entities, as well as the Business Units operating in Asset Management. In this capacity, the Asset Management Compliance Expert will support the Coverage Officer to ensure that all internal and external rules, laws and regulations of the Group, pertaining to the specificities of the Asset Management business, are adequately monitored, assured, and allow proper execution of the tasks of the Compliance Functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* The activities assigned to the AM Compliance Expert include:
* Compliance Management System: The AM Expert must support the Asset Management Coverage Officer in his activities to monitor and, if necessary, support the development and maintenance of an adequate and effective Compliance System for the AM BUs. This includes Compliance Culture; Definition, Use and Monitoring of Key Risk Indicators; Compliance Investigations; Training and Documentation.
* Assigned Compliance Risk Areas: Support the Asset Management Coverage Officer in his oversight activities in confirming the adequacy of the AM BUs' Compliance frameworks for the following assigned areas: Anti-Financial Crime; Market Integrity; Sales Compliance / Customer Protection; Data Privacy.
* The AM expert will support on Regulatory Compliance with a focus on activities around Advisory; overseeing Risk Identification and Assessment; overseeing the Monitoring compliance with External Requirements and Internal Corporate Rules; Integrating AM specificities into Group-wide Compliance requirements; Early Warning (Legal Change Monitoring and Legal Change Implementation Oversight); Compliance Plan and Reporting Tasks.
* Additional tasks may be assigned to the AM Compliance Expert for Risk and Compliance as deemed required and appropriate by the Asset Management Coverage Officer
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
* University degree in business-related field (e.g. Finance, Insurance, Law, Economics).
* 3+ years of Business experience in the Asset Management segment coupled with experience in internal controls system management roles, that include Compliance and/or Internal Audit.
* Strong analytical, communication, intercultural, social and organizational skills. Taking ownership, actively seeking and volunteering for new challenges; strong team spirit and value-add driven mindset; establish and maintain constructive working relationships
* Knowledge of Statistical Modeling, Data Analytics, Data Reporting, Microsoft Power BI.
* Deadline-oriented and ability to multi-task, intellectual curiosity and readiness to learn.
* Fluent in English both written and verbal, Italian working knowledge, any additional language is a plus.
* Very good knowledge of the requirements across various regulatory regimes.
* Sound understanding of the financial services industry, with special focus on asset management and an overall acumen regarding financial markets.
* Exhibits strong resilience and capability to work effectively under pressure
