Purpose of the Position
As Offshore Structural Designer, you will respond to the MILAN OFFSHORE 3D MODELLING department and be part of the ABSER Business Line.
Responsibilities
Modelling with Tekla (or equivalent 3D CAD tool).
Design drawings for primary, secondary and tertiary structures.
Bill of materials or materials take off.
Extraction of bill of materials and other weight information from the 3D CAD model.
Developing Company standards on the basis lesson learned and fabrication yard recommendation.
Supervise the update of the documents after comments issued by other disciplines (inter-discipline checks) or external stakeholders (Client, Yards, Third party review, etc.).
Feed the Offshore Structural Department improvement system by reverting the lessons learned during the project.
Qualifications
Education:
Diploma/bachelor's degree.
Experience:
Preferably 3-5 years of experience in structural engineering.
Languages:
minimum required level B1.
Technical Skills:
3D CAD modelling, 2D CAD drafting.
IT Skills:
Tekla Structures, Autodesk Autocad.
