Role Overview We are seeking a talented and motivated Actuary to join our AI & Analytics Group. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of innovative risk scoring products for the insurance, fleet, and sharing mobility markets. You will collaborate closely with product teams to define and execute the product roadmap and support the sales organization with technical expertise during client engagements and solution presentations. Key Responsibilities Develop and enhance actuarial models and algorithms for risk scoring, leveraging Octo’s proprietary telematics data and advanced analytics platforms. Collaborate with data scientists, AI specialists, and product managers to design and implement predictive models and risk assessment tools for insurance, fleet, and sharing products. Analyze large datasets from connected vehicles and IoT sensors to identify risk factors, behavioral patterns, and trends relevant to underwriting, pricing, and claims management. Support the product team in defining requirements, prioritizing features, and ensuring actuarial rigor in the development of new solutions. Provide actuarial expertise and data-driven insights to the sales team, assisting in the preparation of technical documentation, client proposals, and product demonstrations. Stay up to date with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and emerging technologies in actuarial science, AI, and telematics. Document methodologies, assumptions, and model performance to ensure transparency and compliance. Requirements Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field. Proven experience of at least 5 years in risk modeling, pricing, or product development in insurance, fleet, or mobility sectors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in statistical software and data analysis tools. Experience with machine learning or AI-driven analytics is a strong plus. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams (product, sales, data science).
