GOLF COURSE MARSHAL

Main Purpose:
A Golf Marshal's job is to ensure a great player experience by patrolling the course, managing the pace of play, enforcing rules/etiquette (dress code, etc.), providing excellent Guest service, ensuring a pleasant and satisfying experience.
Reports to: Golf Manager.
Main duties & responsibilities:
• Monitor groups, encourage timely play, and help slow groups catch up or even skip holes to keep things moving.
• Greet players, provide course info, help find lost balls (briefly), answer questions, and resolve disputes diplomatically.
• Patrol the entire course, report hazards, fill divots, repair ball marks, and restock sand bottles.
• Maintain radio contact with the pro shop/grounds crew, reporting issues, player feedback, and course conditions.
• Monitor weather, respond to emergencies (first responder role), and ensure player safety.
