Amazon is seeking an Operations Manager for its Transportation team.
Essential Functions
* Defining, building, and executing transportation processes: From the Fulfillment Center (FC) to customers, leveraging our Last Mile network.
* Team Management: Responsible for hiring, training, and developing a highly motivated workforce for the Last Mile (LM) teams, with support from HR and training teams, to meet operational requirements and maintain high standards of quality and productivity.
* Coordination: Collaborate with Finance, Customer Service, FC, and Projects teams on LM operations.
* Process Improvement: Continuously improve LM processes to sustain high performance standards. Initiate improvements to enhance quality, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work.
* Data Analysis: Analyze performance reports to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements.
* Process Control: Implement formal process control and improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
* At least 1 year of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
