Responsible for managing end-to-end human resource functions at the plant level, ensuring smooth industrial relations, statutory compliance, workforce planning, and employee engagement while supporting business objectives in a manufacturing environment.
Core Responsibilities
Industrial Relations
* Maintain harmonious relations between management and workers
* Handle union negotiations, collective bargaining agreements, and grievance redressal
* Liaise with labor authorities and external agencies
Statutory Compliance
* Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws such as, Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Minimum Wages Act, Contract Labour Act
* Manage inspections and audits by government authorities
* Maintain statutory registers and documentation
Manpower Planning & Recruitment
* Workforce planning in coordination with production head
* Recruitment of shop-floor workers, supervisors, and plant staff
* Manage contract labor workforce and vendor coordination
HR Operations & Administration
* Manage attendance systems (biometric, shift planning)
* Promote workplace safety and discipline.
* Plant Administration (Security, Housekeeping, Pantry/Cafetaria, Stationery management)
* Casual/Contractual worker’s monthly attendance and payroll process, Cross check labour contractor’s compliance documents
