The Data Center Engineering Operations Team maintains the critical physical infrastructure that supports Amazon’s Data Center Organization, ensuring 100% availability and first-class service to internal teams. /ppThe Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) operates and maintains electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center. The EOT supports Amazon in owned and operated data centers, maintaining better than 99.999% uptime. EOTs drive innovation while reducing operational costs in facilities. Amazon offers a dynamic environment that encourages creativity, personal development, and secure, scalable, cost-effective computing infrastructure. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliYou will assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility. /liliYou will assist in the maintenance and monitoring of all Data Center systems, including incidents/events, problems, changes, monitoring, escalation/notification/resolution, and other aspects of Data Center support. /liliYou will monitor and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, voice/data, chiller systems, and generators. /liliYou will provide assistance to contractors or data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of facility equipment covered under level I, plus areas in which you are certified (e.g., fiber optic, electrical certification, HVAC repair, UPS and generator certifications and training). /liliYou will assist contractors or data center engineers to deploy new equipment, such as building racks, cabling, and other tasks as necessary. /liliYou will respond to internal Rack customer maintenance, repair, and expansion requests through the ticketing system. /liliYou will perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring Systems. /liliYou will maintain changes in state in Mission Critical infrastructure in support of corrective/preventive maintenance. /liliYou will review the test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, and processes. /li /ulh3Basic Qualifications /h3ulliYou have received technical (Military/Trade School) training and/or have similar experience in that field. /liliYou have electrical qualifications as necessary to operate Low Voltage equipment in accordance with applicable German regulations (Elektrofachkraft). /liliYou have several years of relevant work experience, ideally within Data Center operations. /liliThis role requires you to be a national of an EU member state. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliYou have several years of experience working within a data center. /liliYou have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering field or mechanical/electrical trades. /liliCertified electrician as per German regulations. /li /ulpbAmazon is an equal opportunities employer. /b We believe employing a diverse workforce is central to our success.
