As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in creating complex, lightweight, and high-precision assemblies that meet the extreme demands of modern Formula 1. You will collaborate with performance, aerodynamics, and manufacturing teams to deliver cutting-edge designs at the forefront of racing technology.
Key Responsibilities
Design mechanical components and assemblies for high-performance F1 systems using CAD tools (e.g. Siemens NX, CATIA, or similar).
Work closely with performance, aerodynamics, and structural teams to optimise design for weight, stiffness, and reliability.
Support prototype and production builds, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to track.
Apply sound engineering principles to deliver innovative solutions under tight deadlines.
Contribute to continuous improvement and research across vehicle systems.
Candidate Profile
Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
Proven experience in motorsport or high-performance engineering (F1, F2, WEC, or similar).
Strong CAD design skills and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, composites, and additive manufacturing.
A passion for innovation, performance, and precision engineering.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to deliver under pressure.
