Your Role
We are seeking an experienced GenAI Tech Lead to support the scaling of the GenAI & Data Science Unit. This role requires deep technical expertise in GenAI and Software Engineering combined with soft skills to inspire and grow internal talents. The GenAI Tech Lead will be responsible for driving the creation of reusable GenAI assets and related training for more junior colleagues, creating a common team “language” and set of good practices to enable efficient and reliable delivery.
As a GenAI Tech Lead you will:
* Collaborate with other senior GenAI Experts to share ideas and discuss the latest technological advancements
* Develop technical solutions as part of customer project proposals, understanding the core business needs and requirements
* Lead the creation of assets (software, templates, best practices, project archetypes, etc.) in the internal asset marketplace, to boost the team’s competitive advantage
* Create learning resources / training paths and provide mentorship to grow internal talents, promote reskilling & upskilling
Your Skills and Experience
* Collaboration & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on listening, empathy, and the ability to translate complex data concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
* Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to lead with compassion and clarity, fostering a supportive team environment that values collaboration and diverse perspectives
* Proven track record and experience with with GenAI technologies
* Experience in Open source LLMs like Llama, Gemma, Mixtral etco Closed source LLMs such as Open AI GPT, Azure Open AI, Claude, Gemini etco Prompt Engineering/Tuning, RAG, RAFT, LLM finetuning such as PEFT(LoRA, QLoRA ..)
* Expertise with the following scripting languages: Python, R, Tensorflow, Keras, Pytorch
* Strong experience in Generative Models GANs, VAEs, Transformers
* Knowledge of NLP algorithms that can handle various NLP tasks such as intent recognition, entity extraction, language modeling, text classification, question answering, text summarization, topic modeling and so on.
Good to have:
* foundational knowledge on Cloud, API frameworks
* experience in leading internal academies / communities
Your Security Experience
To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
