The Business Transformation Office
In order to direct and drive Ammega’s transformation and create value, the company set up a BTO and M&A Team. This team consists of people with a combination of backgrounds in consulting, private equity, project management and industry. The head of the team reports directly to the CEO and the entire team has significant exposure to the company’s Board and to the PE fund, which gives the team a lot of leverage. The BTO and M&A team is responsible for continuously developing, initiating and driving value-creation initiatives within Ammega. These initiatives consist of top-line, cost-related, organizational and strategic initiatives, and thus are a key driver of the company’s transformation. The team helps develop transformative value-creation initiatives and works closely with key executives to execute these initiatives.
Role Overview
As an M&A Associate within the BTO and M&A team, you will play a pivotal role in driving AMMEGA's inorganic growth strategy. This position involves end-to-end management of M&A activities, including target identification, evaluation, execution, and post-merger integration. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, regional teams, and external advisors to execute transactions that align with the company's strategic objectives. Additionally, you may occasionally support broader corporate strategy and business transformation initiatives, contributing to AMMEGA's overall growth and operational excellence.
Key activities include but are not limited to:
1. Identifying and assessing potential acquisition targets that align with AMMEGA's strategic goals
2. Conducting industry and market research to support the M&A pipeline
3. Developing detailed financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including valuation analyses using various methodologies (., DCF, comparable company analysis)
4. Coordinating cross-functional due diligence processes, liaising with internal departments and external advisors
5. Assisting in drafting investment memos and presentations for executive leadership and the Board
6. Collaborating with integration teams to develop and implement post-merger integration plans, monitor progress and report on key performance indicators
7. Providing analytical support for ad-hoc strategic initiatives as needed
8. Conducting market and competitive analyses to inform strategic planning
9. Assisting in the development of strategic plans and business cases for new initiatives
10. Engaging with internal stakeholders across various functions and geographies to ensure alignment on M&A and strategic activities
11. Maintaining relationships with external parties, including investment banks, consultants, and legal advisors
12. Preparing and delivering executive-level presentations and reports to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress on strategic initiatives
Job Requirements
13. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master/MBA is a plus
14. 3–5 years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or consulting
15. Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
17. Excellent communication and presentation abilities
18. Fluency in English; additional European languages are advantageous
19. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant tools
20. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
21. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams
22. High level of integrity and professionalism
