Ph3Overview /h3pIn this role you lead the FAO Office of the Inspector-General Investigations Branch, directing complex fraud and misconduct investigations across FAO programmes. You supervise multidisciplinary teams, shape the investigation program, and ensure rigorous evidence handling and quality control. You provide strategic input on policies, procedures, and integrity initiatives while liaising with legal, HR, and external investigators. You will drive training, awareness, and capacity development to uphold the Organization’s ethical standards and integrity. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliPlan and manage specialized investigation teams and supervise staff /liliShape the investigation program, framework, and best practices for planning, evidence collection, report writing, and follow-up /liliDirect investigations into fraud, corruption, misconduct involving FAO personnel and third parties; review intake assessments and assign cases /liliLead highly complex investigations and present findings to senior FAO leadership /liliEnsure quality control of investigation outputs before sign-off by the Inspector-General /liliDevelop statistics and trend analyses on investigations and support periodic reporting /liliProduce lessons learned and proactive integrity reviews; propose actions to prevent policy violations /liliProvide technical advisory services on sanctioning procedures, procurement policies, and ethical guidelines /liliLead or participate in cross‑organization working groups; liaise with legal, HR and UN investigators /liliCoordinate awareness and training on fraud prevention and reporting; promote best practices and capacity development /liliContribute to OIG quarterly/annual reports and donor reporting as relevant /liliAdminister and control parts of OIG budget as delegated /liliPerform other duties as required /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliAdvanced university degree in law or related field (Master's or equivalent) /liliTen years of relevant investigations experience, including supervisory roles /liliProficiency in English; working knowledge of another FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) /liliExperience in investigations of misconduct by staff, suppliers, and partners; familiarity with fraud, corruption, and procurement issues /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
