Responsibilities

As a member of the Systems Sales organization, you will own the Mass Spectrometry product line in your assigned territory. Your main responsibilities include developing sales based on a business plan tailored to market segments and sales budgets.

You will implement initiatives to increase customer awareness of our MS solutions, such as seminars, executive forums, visits, scientific congresses, and training sessions.

Engaging with key decision-makers in MS technology and developing strategies to garner their support will be crucial.

Visiting and communicating with customers will be a priority, whether you sell directly or indirectly, providing support to the local Systems Sales Account Manager.

You will regularly monitor your activities, create opportunities, analyze wins and losses by product and market, and report monthly to your manager.

Organizing and verifying MS system demos in local or European labs is also part of your role.

Additional responsibilities include:

Support to the sales force

* Collaborate with Account Managers for accurate forecasting and follow-up on opportunities.
* Assist in demonstrations of specialized Mass Spectrometry products with the Application & Support group.
* Quote Mass Spectrometry products as needed.

Support to the Post Sales Application group

* Provide expertise to enhance customer satisfaction, interacting with the Service team, even if not directly responsible.

Marketing activities

* Consult with Account Managers on opportunities to develop strategies.
* Support customer visits, workshops, seminars, and trade shows.
* Implement marketing actions nationwide in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
* Develop success stories for sharing with Account Managers.

Develop & implement senior executive sales programs

Training

* Conduct technical and sales strategy trainings to ensure high expertise levels within the sales team.
* Introduce new products effectively to the sales force and the marketplace.

Qualifications

Education:

* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Science.
* Knowledge of Food and Environmental regulations and analytical methods.

Experience:

* Strong scientific and technical background in separations technologies and mass spectrometry.
* Laboratory experience with chromatography and mass spectrometry.
* Relevant industry exposure.
* Sales and/or marketing experience.

Competencies

* Passionate, charismatic, perseverant, and determined, with the ability to work in competitive sales environments.
* Customer-focused with excellent listening skills.
* Capable of understanding and communicating complex technical issues.
* Good interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and team-oriented.
* Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
* Proficient in Windows and familiar with chromatography or mass spectrometry data systems like EMPOWER, MASSLYNX, or UNIFI.
* Adherence to quality and safety standards.
* Resourceful and independent, proactive in identifying work steps for success.
* Excellent communication, presentation, decision-making, and influencing skills.
* Resilient and adaptable to high-demand, fast-changing environments.
* Strong reporting skills.
* Knowledge of food market regulations or biopharma applications is a plus.
* Proficient in English; native Italian speakers preferred; additional European languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese) are advantageous.
