The Opportunity
In Worldline’s fast‑moving payments universe, trust is the most valuable currency—and the Financial Crime Controller is the architect who keeps that currency strong as the business grows. The AML team is a focused, mission‑driven squad turning signals into decisive actions to defend millions of transactions without slowing customers down.
As Financial Crime Controller you own the end‑to‑end risk framework—from onboarding and screening to investigations and regulatory reporting. You’ll design and refine controls, governance, KPIs, and KRIs, ensuring they are rigorous yet scalable as Worldline expands. You partner with Internal Audit, report to senior leadership and the Board, and preserve the independence of control functions while keeping close business collaboration.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
* Support the AML Compliance Officer in providing guidance, advice and challenge to the Business on the application of Policies, Procedures and processes in relation to Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing, Sanctions and Embargoes matters.
* Execute the risk assessment exercise related to AML risk.
* Execute the 2‑line of defence AML controls.
* Support the implementation of the reporting activities (regulatory, governance bodies, operational & group compliance, etc).
* Support the proper definition of AML training program in terms of contents, participants and methods.
* Evaluate AML systems and ensure adequate software is in place.
Who We’re Looking For
* Master’s degree in Economics, Management, Law or related field; 3‑5+ years of experience with a strong focus on AML controls/risk assessment.
* Strong knowledge of risk‑assessment methodology and control framework.
* Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal).
* Strong critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills.
* Fluent in English.
